About Amy

Clinical Herbalist. Medical Aromatherapist. Medical Nutritional Herbalist. Master Gardener. Member of the American Herbalist Guild. Published Children's Book Author. Sounds pretty fancy, huh? To her friends, Amy is just the "Crazy Plant Lady". She is happiest when tending to her Garden, researching Herbs, or singing to the trees and flowers. These lessons were instilled in her as a little girl, spending summers with her Grandmother. Grandma Abbie taught her granddaughter all about flower varieties, tree lore, soil & water conditions, and to "NEVER put a shovel in that ground without checking your Farmer's Almanac first!". One of Amy's fondest memories of her Great Grandmother Ruth was watching her make homemade Soap over an open fire in the backyard. Spending hours in the Garden, covered in dirt, and making natural products seems to just run in the family.

But what sets Amy apart from other Herbalists, you ask? She organically grows, harvests, dries & infuses the majority of the Herbs used in her products! The Face Embrace skincare line, as well as, the Salves and Balms, are made from Calendula grown in her personal Garden, and then infused in organic fruit and nut oils. These preparations are also Sun and Moon infused for additional energetic healing properties. Because Amy harvests her own medicinal herbs and flowers, she specializes in "small batch" products. What does that mean exactly? It means Amy does not grow more than she can manage. All of the plants grown in her Garden are used, not wasted in mass production. Once the herbs and medicinal plants are harvested, she has to wait for the next growing season to grow more . Luckily for us, she lives in sunny Huntsville, AL and has a long growing season.
